Further information about the project Suspended

Suspended brings together photographs of landscapes, infrastructure and built environments in which movement and use appear temporarily interrupted. Their structures, boundaries and markings remain clearly legible, yet the spaces seem detached from the purposes for which they were shaped.

The series considers these places less as specific locations than as spatial conditions marked by restraint and latent tension. Traces of habitation, work and passage persist, while human presence is felt only indirectly. Their stillness is neither empty nor neutral, but moves between calm and unease, familiarity and estrangement.

The photographs approach these spaces as temporarily withheld rather than abandoned. Still functional, they occupy an uncertain interval between use and inactivity, whose duration remains unresolved.
